K2 Base Camp Trek
The K2 Base Camp Trek is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure that takes trekkers into the heart of the Karakoram mountain range in Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan. The trek offers breathtaking views of some of the world’s highest peaks, including the iconic K2, as well as the opportunity to experience the unique culture and landscape of the region. We are a licensed company with years of experience, specializes in organizing K2 Base Camp Treks and other adventure holidays in Pakistan, ensuring a safe and unforgettable journey for all participants.
The trek begins in Islamabad, where participants are welcomed by our representatives before embarking on a flight to Skardu, the capital city of the Baltistan region. From Skardu, the journey continues through picturesque villages and along the Indus and Braldu rivers to reach the starting point of the trek at Johla. Over the course of several days, trekkers will traverse rugged terrain and glacier fields, passing by awe-inspiring peaks and camping under the stars before reaching K2 Base Camp at an elevation of 5,150 meters above sea level.
Upon reaching K2 Base Camp, trekkers will have the opportunity to explore the surrounding area, including Broad Peak Base Camp and the Gilkey memorial, before beginning the return journey. The descent back to Skardu offers a different perspective of the landscape, allowing participants to reflect on their incredible journey and celebrate their achievements with their fellow trekkers and guides. With its stunning scenery and challenging terrain, the K2 Base Camp Trek is truly an adventure of a lifetime.

DAYS ITINERARY
K2 Base Camp Trek Itinerary
Expand AllDay 1: Arrival at Islamabad
Arrive in Islamabad, meet the trek team, and complete permit formalities. Overnight in a hotel.
Day 2: Flight to Skardu / Karakoram
Take a scenic flight to Skardu (subject to weather) or drive via the Karakoram Highway. Overnight in Skardu.
Day 3: Rest Day at Skardu
Explore Skardu, check gear, and prepare for the trek. Optional visit to Shigar Valley.
Day 4: Drive to Askoli
Travel by jeep to Askole, the last village before the trek begins. Overnight camping.
Day 5: Trek to Jula
Begin trekking along the Braldu River, crossing suspension bridges. Overnight in Jhula.
Day 6: Trek to Paju
Walk through rocky terrain with stunning views of the Trango Towers.
Day 7: Rest and Acclimatization Day at Paiju
Relax, acclimatize, and prepare for glacier trekking.
Day 8: Trek to Khoburtse (3,800 m)
Enter the Baltoro Glacier, walking alongside towering peaks.
Day 9: Trek to Urdukas (4,050 m)
Pass through glacier moraines with striking mountain views.
Day 10: Trek to Goro II (4,250 m)
Trek through challenging glacier terrain with sights of Masherbrum and Gasherbrum IV.
Day 11: Trek to Concordia (4,600 m)
Arrive at Concordia, surrounded by K2, Broad Peak, and other giants.
Day 12: Day Hike to K2 Base Camp (5,100 m)
Trek to K2 Base Camp, admire the grandeur of K2, and return to Concordia.
Day 13: Trek Back to Goro I
Begin retracing your steps through the glacier.
Day 14: Trek to Khoburtse
Continue the descent through the Baltoro Glacier.
Day 15: Trek to Bardumal/Mondrong
Leave the glacier behind and return to Bardumal/Mondrong camp.
Day 16: Trek to Korophong
Walk along the Braldu River, enjoying familiar sights.
Day 17: Trek to Askoli
Complete the trekking portion of the journey, reaching Askole.
Day 18: Drive to Skardu
Return by jeep to Skardu, where a hot shower and comfortable stay await.
Day 19: Fly or Drive to Islamabad
Weather permitting, fly back to Islamabad or take the Karakoram Highway.
Day 20: Departure to Home Country
Explore Islamabad if time allows before departing for your onward destination.
