OVERVIEW
Haramosh Valley is a hidden gem located in the Gilgit-Baltistan region of northern Pakistan, nestled within the mighty Karakoram Range. Renowned for its untouched natural beauty, lush alpine meadows, snow-capped peaks, and traditional villages, the valley offers an off-the-beaten-path adventure for trekkers and nature lovers alike.
At the heart of the valley lies the spectacular Kutwal Lake, a high-altitude glacial lake surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery. Towering above the lake is the majestic Haramosh Peak (7,409m)—a stunning backdrop that makes Kutwal Lake one of the most scenic alpine lakes in the region.
🧭 Trekking Experience
The trek to Kutwal Lake is moderately challenging, requiring good physical fitness but no technical climbing skills. Trekkers pass through forests, rocky terrain, and traditional settlements, making it a rewarding cultural and natural experience. The best time to visit is between June and September, when the trails are clear and the weather is pleasant.
