DAYS ITINERARY
K2 Base camp Trek And Pastoro Peak Expedition Itinerary
Expand AllDay 1: Arrival in Islamabad
On Day 1, you'll arrive at Islamabad International Airport, transfer to your hotel for rest, and attend a briefing.
Day 2: Flight to Skardu
Day 2 involves a morning flight from Islamabad to Skardu, weather permitting, where you'll check into your hotel and explore Skardu town and its surroundings.
Day 3: Skardu to Askole (Drive)
Day 3 starts with an early morning drive from Skardu to Askole, which takes approximately 6-7 hours and goes through the scenic Shigar Valley. You'll spend the night in tents at Askole Village.
Day 4: Trek to Jula
On Day 4, the trek begins from Askole to Jhula, a journey of about 6-7 hours, involving a crossing of the Braldu River before camping overnight at Jhula.
Day 5: Trek to Paiju
Day 5 involves a 6-7 hour trek from Jhula to Paiju, offering scenic views along the Braldu River, followed by camping overnight at Paiju.
Day 6: Rest Day at Paiju
Day 6 is a rest day at Paiju for acclimatization and enjoying views of the Trango Towers.
Day 7: Trek to Khoburse
On Day 7, you'll trek from Paiju to Khoburse, which takes 5-6 hours and enters the Baltoro Glacier, with an overnight camp at Khoburse.
Day 8: Trek to Urdukas
8 consists of a 4-5 hour trek from Khoburse to Urdukas, with spectacular views of the Great Trango and Uli Biaho Towers, followed by camping overnight at Urdukas.
Day 9: Trek to Goro II
Day 9 from Urdukas to Goro II takes 6-7 hours, traversing the Baltoro Glacier, where you'll camp overnight at Goro II.
Day 10: Trek to Concordia
On Day 10, you'll trek from Goro II to Concordia, a 6-7 hour journey with views of K2, Broad Peak, and Gasherbrum IV, and camp overnight at Concordia.
Day 11: Trek to Pastoro Base Camp
Day 11 involves a trek from Concordia to Pastoro Base Camp, taking about 5-6 hours, where you'll set up base camp and prepare for the climb.
Days 12-18: Climbing Period
Days 12-18 are designated for the climbing period, including acclimatization and climbing rotations, with an attempt to summit Pastoro Peak before returning to base camp.
Day 19: Trek back to Concordia
On Day 19, you'll trek back to Concordia in about 5-6 hours and camp overnight.
Day 20: Trek to Goro II
Day 20 involves a 6-7 hour trek from Concordia to Goro II, followed by camping overnight.
Day 21: Trek to Khoburse
Day 21 sees you trekking from Goro II to Khoburse in 5-6 hours, where you'll camp overnight.
Day 22: Trek to Paiju
Day 22 involves a 6-7 hour trek from Khoburse to Paiju, with an overnight camp.
Day 23: Trek to Jula
On Day 23, you'll trek from Paiju to Jhula, taking about 6-7 hours and camping overnight.
Day 24: Trek to Askole
Day 24 sees you trekking from Jhula to Askole in 6-7 hours, with an overnight stay in tents at Askole Village.
Day 25: Drive to Skardu
Day 25 involves a 6-7 hour drive from Askole to Skardu, where you'll check into the hotel and rest.
Day 26: Flight to Islamabad
On Day 26, you will take a morning flight from Skardu to Islamabad, weather permitting, then transfer to your hotel for rest and debriefing.
Day 27: Departure
Finally, on Day 27, you'll transfer to Islamabad International Airport for departure.
